Q is for questions and quests

Our whole life is ruled by questions. From the moment we start speaking coherently, there is the ever-present “Why?”…Some questions will be met by appropriate answers, some will not. I realized recently that people don’t know how to answer questions. For instance, when I ask my students a question, they start from Adam and Eve, instead of giving me the straight answer.

So far my favorite questions are: “why do I have to go to work today?” *enter morning scene when the bed is soooo inviting*, “what is the meaning of life?” – I am not even sure somebody knows the answer to this one, “why does Kanye West think he’s talented?” and “why do people *as in teenage girls* find Edward attractive?”

Quests are journeys towards a certain goal. We all know about the heroes who embark on different quests: to save the princess *and marry them in the end, however nobody speaks about what happens after that – do royal pairs attend marriage counseling I wonder?*, to find the Holy Grail *only for it to disappear, never to be seen again*, to escape dangers, to retrieve whatever object that is lost, etc.

We may not be heroes or princes, but we also embark on a quest – to boldly go where no one has gone before – I was a Star Trek fan !
We discover new things, new places, flavors, people – and all this spices our lovely little lives big grin
